Seungkee Lee, MA (he/him)
Seungkee is a second-year doctoral student in the UF Counseling Psychology program. He was born and primarily raised in Seoul, South Korea. He received a B.A. in Education and M.A. in Educational Counseling from Seoul National University. His current research interests broadly pertain to the social integration of underrepresented populations. Particularly, grounded in his Asian background and professional experiences as a university counselor, he has a strong interest in addressing the needs of Asian/Asian Americans, immigrants (e.g., North Korean defectors), and international students. In his free time, Seungkee enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, kayaking and cycling.

Natalia L. Tomé, MA
(She/Her/Ella)
​Natalia is a first-year doctoral student in counseling psychology. Born and raised in Brasilia, Brazil, she received a B.A. in Psychology from the University Center of Brasilia and an M.S. in Social and Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Brasilia. Her current research interests focus on the intersection of economic inequality, work conditions, and individual factors, and how these influence mental health across cultures. After working with clients from lower socioeconomic backgrounds in public psychosocial care centers and studying perceptions of disparity, she became committed to improving life and work conditions for underrepresented populations. Beyond research and practice, Natalia enjoys cooking, watching TV shows, and playing board games.

Heeeun Lee, MS, (she/her)
​Heeeun Lee is a first-year doctoral student in the UF Counseling Psychology program. She was born in Seoul and primarily raised in Uiwang, South Korea. She completed a B.A. in Education and Psychology at Chungbuk National University and earned a dual degree in Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She received her M.S. in Psychology from Yonsei University. Her research interests focus on career development among individuals facing economic constraints, classism experiences, and intervention strategies to support underrepresented populations, with a particular focus on college students and early-career working adults navigating the school-to-work transition. In her free time, Heeeun enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and watching Disney movies.

Aidan McConnell (he/him)
Aidan was born in Orlando, Florida, and is completing his bachelor's degrees in psychology and women's studies from the University of Florida. Some of his current research interests include subjective social mobility and the psychology of class. He is also interested in existential therapy, the impact of culture on mental experience, and gender and sexualities studies. His favorite hobbies include playing video games, learning about history, art, and culture, and listening to various kinds of music (especially metal).

Peter Zeledon (he/him)
Peter was born in 2002 to Nicaraguan immigrant parents, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in General Psychology at the University of Florida. His research interests focus on enhancing life satisfaction and addressing depression and anxiety in minority communities, along with exploring neuropsychology and the applications of mindfulness. In his free time, Peter enjoys reading, exploring new places, and working out, with aspirations of obtaining a coaching certification due to his passion for fitness.

Luka Hsu (he/him)
Luka Hsu, born in Taichung, Taiwan, is an undergraduate student at the University of Florida working towards his first Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (EMP: Behavior Analysis) with a minor in Studio Art. Beginning in 2020, he started tutoring children K-12 under AOC’s Homework Helpers before moving to freelance ESL tutoring. He is currently a tutor under Teach for America’s Ignite Fellowship. He is also involved in a number of creative endeavors, including UF’s Honors Literary Magazine, PRISM, and competitive art exhibitions. Informed by his background, his research interests include racial and socioeconomic disparities in education, the Hidden Curriculum in academia, the psychology of art, and social mobility, specifically among immigrants. In his free time, Luka enjoys making art from recycled materials and playing his guitar.
